Search nets drugs, warrant

TORRINGTON – Police are searching for a local man in connection with a months-long investigation into drug trafficking in the community.
Patrick D. Ramos of Torrington is being sought on a warrant charging him with felony possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of anabolic steroids and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, according to a press release from the Torrington Police Department.
The charges stem from a search warrant on June 29 by TPD, with the assistance of the Goshen County Sheriff’s Office and officers from the state Department of Criminal Investigation and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency. The search, at a home in the 300 block of West 14th Street in Torrington netted approximately three-quarters of an ounce of methamphetamine, anabolic steroids, marijuana and paraphernalia used in the distribution of illegal narcotics.
Ramos was reportedly not at the residence at the time the search warrant was executed. Torrington Police caution residents not to approach Ramos and to call police if he’s seen.
