The Regular Meeting of the Lingle Town Council convened at 5:00 P.M. August 5, 2020 with Mayor Siglin leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Upon roll call, the following were present, constituting a quorum: Mayor: George Siglin Council Members: Steve Edwardson Joe Welte Brandie Cook Present: Clerk Richard Reyes Not Present: Police Chief: Endra Andrews Town Attorney: Anna Barnes Town Supervisor: Larry Haeffelin Fire Chief: Kasey Bangerter Pool Manager: Brandi Hill. Mayor Siglin welcomed all to the meeting and thanked them for being present. C Reyes Administered the Oath of Office to A.J. Lambert and Mr. Lambert was installed as Councilman. Mayor Siglin called for approval of the agenda. CM Welte moved to approve the agenda as presented. CM Cook voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. Mayor Siglin called for approval of the minutes of the July 22, 2020 regular council meeting. CM Cook moved to approve the minutes as presented. CM Welte voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. BILLS FOR JULY 2020: CM Edwardson moved to approve the Town bills in the amount of $109,892.30. CM Cook voiced the second and the motion passed unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT: Carol Carr, representative for the Monday Afternoon Bible Study Group, addressed Council and requested use of the Lingle Community Center until they are able to meet in the Senior Center which is currently closed due to Covid-19. The group consists of 12-20 participants, meet Monday afternoons from 1:30 P.M. to 4 P.M. and would like to begin meeting September 14, 2020. Council told Ms. Carr that the request would be considered and she will be notified at a future date. COUNCIL ITEMS: Mayor Siglin mentioned that operating hours at the pool maybe adjusted due to lifeguards leaving to attend college. Mayor Siglin also informed Council that CM Cook will be replacing Mayor Siglin as representative for the Town on the Goshen County Economic Development’s Board of Director’s. With no further action to be taken Mayor Siglin adjourned the meeting at 5:18 P.M.
