The Regular Meeting of the Lingle Town Council convened at 7:00 pm, July 3, 2019 with Mayor Siglin leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Upon roll call, the following were present, constituting a quorum: Mayor: George Siglin Council Member: Steve Edwardson Paula Newcomb Joe Welte There were also present: Clerk: Richard Reyes Police Chief: Endra Andrews Pool Manager Brandi Hill Absent: CM Greg Asa Town Supervisor: Larry Haeffelin
Town Attorney: Greg Knudsen Fire Chief Kasey Bangerter Mayor Siglin welcomed all to the meeting and thanked them for being present. Mayor Siglin called for additions to the agenda and Tom Bruce requested to be added for Public Comment. Mayor Siglin called for approval of the agenda with the addition. CM Newcomb moved to approve the agenda with the addition. CM Edwardson voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. Mayor Siglin called for approval of the minutes of the June 19, 2019 regular council meeting. CM Newcomb moved to approve the minutes as presented. CM Welte voiced the second and the motion carried unanimously. PUBLIC COMMENT: Tom Bruce addressed the Council and addressed respect from other businesses and customers. He also would like parking issues in front of his business resolved and announced that any parking violators in front of this business or on his property will be towed away. LAW ENFORCEMENT: PC Andrews reported 54 incidents since the last council meeting. She also has numerous trainings planned for the immediate future. POOL: PM Hill reported: The weather has affected the hours of operation for the pool. The next “Movie in the Park” is Rango and pool donations have doubled compared to last year at this same time. ADMINISTRATION: C Reyes reported: T Garner’s desk riser and computer have been installed, the paper folder has been received and used, a tax exemption request from Menard’s has been completed, and the Spring Newsletter was mailed out to residents with the utility bills. NEW BUSINESS: Mayor Siglin addressed Council about Kid’s Safe Day that is sponsored by Banner Health. He requested a 20/20 Family Pool Pass to donate to the event. All Council members approved his request. COUNCIL ITEMS: Mayor Siglin wished Town of Lingle residents a safe and Happy 4th of July.
With no further action to be taken Mayor Siglin adjourned the meeting at 7:18 pm.
