TOWN OF LINGLE )
The Special Meeting of the Lingle Town Council convened at 10:02 am, January 14, 2019. Upon roll call, the following were present, constituting a quorum: Mayor: George Siglin, Council Member: Steve Edwardson, Paula Newcomb, Joe Welte. Absent: Greg Asa. There were also present: Clerk/Treasurer: Michele Sussex, Deputy Clerk/Treasurer: Nakisha Garner, Police Chief: Endra Moen. Mayor Siglin welcomed all to the meeting and thanked them for being present. Mayor Siglin led a discussion regarding how Lingle would be paying for the new law enforcement vehicle due to the fact that the federal government is currently shut down and Lingle is unable to receive the 55% funding from USDA. When the federal government reopens, Lingle will be able to collect 55% of the new law enforcement vehicle with the required equipment installed. After some discussion, CM Edwardson made a Motion: Due to the federal government shut down, Lingle will use funds from the Money Market Account held at Points West Community Bank in Lingle to pay for the full amount of the law enforcement vehicle with all required equipment installed. When the federal government resumes business, the fifty-five percent (55%) received from the USDA grant will be deposited back into a newly created Wyoming Government Investment Fund, Vehicle Account, and $4,200 per year for 6 years after that. CM Welte offered a second and the motion passed 4:0. Mayor Siglin adjourned the special meeting at 10:26 am.
