FORT LARAMIE – A spaghetti lunch and auction to raise money for Pastor Marty Rostad has been set for Sunday, March 28, at 1 p.m. in the Fort Laramie Community Center.
Rostad, formerly the pastor of Lifeway Church and now the pastor for Fort Laramie Country Church, suffered a cardiac event a couple of months ago and as a result, has incurred a significant amount of medical expenses. The community has rallied around Rostad in an effort to aid with the expense and make his recovery a little easier.
As stated on the Fort Laramie Connection Facebook page, “Mark your calendar. Donate, bid and support a great man!”
In addition to the spaghetti lunch and auction, Rostad’s son, Steve Rostad, organized a fundraiser Jan. 25 on gofundme.com to help Rostad with medical expenses. Though the gofundme.com fundraiser is no longer accepting donations, the account raised $6,248 to aid Rostad.
For any questions regarding the spaghetti luncheon and auction, or if anyone would like to donate items for the auction, contact Vickie at 307-337-7881 or Julianne at 307-575-9024.
***The article appearing in the Friday, March 12, edition of the Lingle Guide stated this event would take place March 14. The Guide learned the event had been moved to the 28th after press time and was not able to make the change in the physical paper. The event will be held March 28 at 1 p.m. in the Fort Laramie Community Center. Our apologies for any confusion.
